The face of hunger may surprise you.
The hungry today are likely to be hard working families, single parents with children or seniors on fixed incomes. Many are new to food banks or social agencies; they never expected to face the difficult choice of either paying for housing or medicine or buying food to eat.

Food for Thought.
What is important to remember is that the Westside Community Food Bank is not a small group of individuals fighting food disparity by ourselves. Rather, there is a vast web of threads connecting people, be they donors, volunteers, supporters or advocates.
Every time you lend your support to the Food Bank, you become part of that web. If we can connect enough of those threads together, we can create a net that will support our neighbours, who, like all of us, occasionally need a helping hand.
